Andrea is a first generation attorney who is an experienced civil trial lawyer. She’s litigated a wide range of cases including personal injury, employment law, discrimination, products liability, professional negligence, medical malpractice, wage and hour / overtime, and contract disputes—many of the types of cases that would be heard in the 125th Civil Court. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court.
Andrea’s background as a process engineer makes her uniquely qualified to address the backlog of civil cases in Harris County, which has doubled from approximately 35,000 to 70,000 cases in the last 10 years. It is through transparency and efficiency that we can begin to turn things around by identifying the underlying issues causing the backlog, making timely rulings on motions and issuing written orders where needed, making crucial decisions to help these civil cases move along towards resolution, and holding trial.
Andrea’s experience and dedication would make her an exceptional judge. She is committed to access to justice for everyone and ensuring that the courts are run efficiently without compromising equality and fairness. As a first general lawyer in her family, she works hard to serve as a role model for other Latinas in the law.
Early voting in the 2024 primary in Harris County is February 20 through March 1.
The Primary Election is March 5, 2024.
The General Election is November 5, 2024.
